The November 2024 members meeting for Brewers Anonymous was held on Friday, October 18th. 2024 at Ivanhoe Park Lager House.
Everyone was reminded that the final inner-club competition would take place at the December meeting. The final category is wood-aged beers of any style.
We reviewed our participation at the 2024 Orlando Beer Fest. Once again, the Brewers Anonymous tent and beer selection proved to be a popular and well-received addition to the festival.

Following this announcement, we revealed and celebrated our repeat win as Home Brew Club of the Year for the 2024 competition season. For more details on the repeat win and the entire season, please see the article “What a Year! The 2024 Competition Season Wrap Up.”
We have set the date and time for our “12 Beers of Christmas” exchange. It will take place on Sunday, December 8th, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Ivanhoe Park Lager House.
Our festival participation list continues growing, with Tom and Dan Bad at Business Beer Fest, Almost There Homebrew Beer Fest, Science on Tap, Cocoa Village Brewer’s Bash, and Hamlin Craft Beer Festival currently on our calendar.
We need a Festival Chair for the club for 2025. If you are interested in this position and helping coordinate our festival appearances, please see one of the board members to volunteer.
Board nominations for the 2025 governing year are open. The link to nominate anyone for President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Archivist was shared with the members.
All of the BJCP online entrance exam training material for our BJCP training program is now available online at learn.brewersanonymous.org. We are hosting a judging exam on July 15th, 2025. You MUST pass the online entrance exam to be eligible to sit for the judging exam. Now is the time to start preparing for the entrance exam!
To wrap up the meeting, we updated the Austin P Harris Brewer of the Year Award standings, with Bill Carley and Mike Thompson in a one-point race. Only one competition remains!
The next meeting will be on Friday, December 6th, at Ivanhoe Park Lager House. The social will begin at 7:00 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. See you there!
