The 2024 Florida Homebrew competition season was the wildest, most surprising, and downright exciting season we’ve seen in a long time.
The season kicked off with a surprising and unexpected win for Brewers Anonymous at the 2024 Coconut Cup hosted by MASH. This early lead was short-lived as CASK dominated the next two competitions – Hurricane Blowoff and the Hogtown Brew-off.
As far as these two behemoth clubs were concerned, Hot N Humid, won by Brewers Anonymous, and First Coast Cup, won by CASK, nearly canceled each other out, only garnering CASK two additional points to their lead.
Then, a shocking win at Commander SAAZ for Brewers Anonymous created a wind to fill our competitive sails, pushing us to the final two competitions of the season.
Brewers Anonymous brought everything we had to finish the season, dominating the last two competitions, winning big at the 2024 Sunshine Challenge and Best Florida Beer, securing a repeat win, and keeping possession of the circuit cup for another year!
But that’s not all.
In the end, Brewers Anonymous had two members on the Home Brewer of the Year podium for the first time in the Club’s history.
Matt Hunsworth with Brewers Anonymous tied with Jesse Johnson of CASK for 1st Place Brewer of the Year for the Florida Homebrew Circuit.
Mike Thompson with Brewers Anonymous tied with Buddy Greer of JAX for 2nd Place Brewer of the Year for the Florida Homebrew Circuit.
Altogether, the Club brought home:
