The 2024 competition season is well underway. The second of eight state club-run competitions occurred on Saturday, April 20th, 2024.
This competition was the 2024 Hurricane Blowoff hosted by The Palm Beach Draughtsmen in Boynton Beach, FL.
The ceremony was held live at Nobo Brewing Company, and Brewers Anonymous was present to watch it unfold.
In the end, Brewers Anonymous did very well, having placed third overall with our brewers winning the following medals:
Eric Gomez – Bronze for International Pale Lager and Silve for Hazy IPA
Dan Morrison – Silver for English Porter
John Sather – Gold for Semi-Sweet Mead
Bill Carley – Silver for Experimental Mead
Matt Hunsworth – Gold for New World Cider
And a huge showing for member Ian O’Keefe—gold for Dark Czech Lager, Brozne for Dark Mild, and Silver Best of Show!
Great job, everyone! Although competitions have not been our main focus this season, we still make our presence known!
Congratulations to our friends at Cowford Ale Sharing Club (C.A.S.K.) for their first-place win for Heavy Medal Club, and to our new friends and event hosts, Palm Beach Draughtsmen, for 2nd place Heavy Medal Club.
Hogtown in Gainesville is coming next, and Brewers Anonymous plans to attend again to see what great work our members bring!
