Welcome, New Member!
A big welcome to Ray Badillo, who officially joined Brewers Anonymous after checking us out at the August meeting. Ray’s already been active on our Discord server, so if you haven’t said hello yet — make sure to give him a welcome online or at the next meeting!
Upcoming Club Challenges
Two club challenges remain this year:
- October Meeting:Mead and Cider
- Entries open soon! Depending on participation, there may be separate awards for Mead and Cider.
- December Meeting:High ABV Beers
- Entries must be 8% ABV or higher within a BJCP style that exceeds 7.9%.
- This challenge will wrap up the 2025 club competition season and determine our Club Brewer of the Year.
Fantasy Brew-Off
The draft is complete, and beers will be due by the November meeting (Nov. 14). Now’s the time to finalize recipes and get those brews fermenting! Expect full results and commentary in the November recap video.
Competition Results – Commander SAAZ
Huge congratulations to all our members who brought home medals at the Commander SAAZ Competition!
These wins gave Brewers Anonymous a first-place finish with 40 points at Commander Saws — ahead of Pinellas Urban Brewers Guild and Hogtown Brewers. Our club now holds a strong lead in the Florida Circuit heading into the final two competitions!

Sunshine Challenge & Best Florida Beer
- Sunshine Challenge awards ceremony: Sunday, October 5th, 3 PM at Ivanhoe Park Lager House. A Zoom stream will be available via cfhb.org.
- Best Florida Beer awards ceremony: Saturday, October 25th, 6 PM at Magnanimous Brewing – Seminole Heights. The event will also be streamed online.

Festival Season Continues
- Homebrew Oktoberfest (Sept. 20): Great turnout and a steady flow if attendees throughout the day of the event — expect a return in 2026!
- Space Coast Brew Fest (Oct. 25, Titusville): Brewers Anonymous will have a presence here — pouring and representing the club.
- Windermere Craft Beer Fest (Oct. 25): Our “home turf” festival returns — expect an even bigger club showing.
- Tom & Dan’s Bad at Business Beer Fest (Nov. 22): Always a hit! Expect another huge line at our tent

The race for the 2025 Austin Peay Harris Brewer of the Year continues:
