There’s no arguing that Brewers Anonymous loves to compete. Most of our members compete exclusively in the Florida Homebrew Competition Circuit. But when one member came across the Alamo City Brew Battle in San Antonio, Texas, and the competition’s outstanding medals, many of us decided to box up some of our best beers and see what hardware we could bring home to Orlando, Florida.
The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, May 16th, and Brewers Anonymous had quite a showing at the Alamo City Brew Battle. The following are our club medalists from the competition:
Matt Hunsworth – Gold – Weissbier
Silver – American Pale Ale
Eric Rodriguez – Gold – Hazy IPA
Max Furth – Bronze – Hazy IPA
Gold – Specialty Wood-Aged Beer
Honorable Mention – Best of Show Beer
Chris Nubar – Bronze – Double IPA
Austin Brown – Gold Sweet Mead
Silver – Semi-Sweet Mead
Silver – Stone Fruit Mead
Silver – Experimental Mead
Bronze – Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Mead
JJ Ocampo – Bronze – Cyser
All of these medals combined, but Brewers Anonymous is in third place overall, Heavy Medal Club!
