October Homebrew Club Meeting 2025 Recap

The October 2025 members meeting took place on Friday, October 17th, and Ivanhoe Park Lager House.

October brought another busy month for the Brewers Anonymous Homebrew Club!

This month’s challenge brought seven entries—five meads and two ciders—and some truly creative brews. Congratulations to our winners!

  1. 1st Place: Nathan Kraemer – Apple Pie with Ice Cream Cider
  2. 2nd Place: Molly Breckling – Honolulu Hurricane Pineapple Cider
  3. 3rd Place: Austin Brown – Semi-Sweet Mead

Every entry brought something unique to the table, making for a deliciously competitive lineup.

Sunshine Challenge Victories

Brewers Anonymous crushed it once again at the Sunshine Challenge, earning 45 points and taking first place overall!

With this strong showing, the club now holds a commanding lead of more than 70 points heading into the final competition of the season—Best Florida Beer. A three-peat championship could be within reach!

Brewer of the Year Standings

The race for the Austin P. Harris Brewer of the Year title continues:

  • Eric Rodriguez: 196 points
  • Austin Brown: 122 points
  • JJ Ocampo: 119 points

It’s shaping up to be a tight competition for second place, but with two months left, there’s still time for surprises.

  • December Club Challenge: High ABV Beer (8%+) – Still time to enter!
  • Fantasy Brew-Off: Draft complete, beers due next meeting—more details in next month’s video.

Festival Highlights

  • Prost Fest: A major success! Huge thanks to Nate Kraemer, our festival coordinator, for leading the charge and making it all happen. Plans are already underway for next year.

  • Dan & Tom’s Bad at Business Beer Fest – November 22
