RockPit Brewing Visit

Rockpit Brewing Plans

Yesterday I had the chance to go over to RockPit Brewing and see the amazing progress they have made on the building of the new brewery.  I spent the afternoon with Jeremy Pittman and Sean Burke from RockPit Brewing helping clear out some brush behind the brewery.  Who realized that building a brewery included bushwhacking?   We had to clear out this brush to prepare for a condenser which will cool the two large cold storage units the brewery will use.

They have made incredible progress on this building since starting earlier this year.  I got to visit when they  had initially taken over the building which was formally used as a welding shop.  To say they have made a lot of progress would be an understatement.

Since my first visit, the progress has been astounding.  They have done way more than I could possibly list, but the noticeable things are building coolers, installing electric and plumbing and a total revamp of the walls and ceiling.  When you go in there you can really get a sense of what is going to be where, and there is a good feel of the general layout of the brewery.  Orlando Homebrew Supplies is also going to be located here which is going to make such an amazing combination with the brewery.  There will be a classroom as well which is where our club meetings will be held right inside the actual brewery itself.

Here are some photos from my visit which show the amazing progress everyone with RockPit is making.  In these pictures you can see the HUGE coolers, Fermenters, and their Colorado Brewing brewhouse.

I am so excited to see these guys making such progress, and I can’t wait for the grand opening of RockPit.  I can’t believe that Brewers Anonymous is also going to be able to call this place home when they open.
