Last week Central Florida Hops held their very first Hop Harvest Party and U Pick Event at their Zellwood Farm. Commercial and Homebrewers from around the area were invited out to come and pick fresh wet hops off the bine. They had multiple varieties of hops to chose from including Chinook, Zeus, Sorachi, Nuget and more. The awesome staff at Central Florida Hops took the bines down from the trellis and brought them into the warehouse for the brewers to then pick.
Approximately 75 people attended the event as well as breweries from Ocala, Tampa, New Symrna Beach and Boca Raton. There was roughly 75 pounds of fresh hops hand picked from the 9 varieties available. The team from Central Florida Hops will be at our Lizard Cup 2018, so be sure to say hello!
