Learn To Homebrew Day!

Do you like beer? Have you ever thought about brewing beer? Come out to Rockpit Brewing and join Brewers Anonymous in the National Learn to Homebrew day!
This year’s learn to homebrew day will be in the parking lot of Rockpit Brewing. You can also come to observe and learn, there is no need for you to bring equipment or brew!!! We would like to do the theme of everybody brewing a clone of Sam Adam’s old fizzy wig Christmas ale, and then comparing it to the actual commercial sample at the December meeting. Whomever is closest to the commercial sample wins! This is not required and you can brew whatever you want, but we think this would be a lot of fun!!! We have the recipe ready and will provide it to everyone!

Ingredients for a 5.5 gallon batch
9 lbs Pale Malt
1.5 lbs Munich Malt
12 oz Caramel/Crystal 60L
4 oz Chocolate
2.5 Tettnang – 60 min
.5 oz Ginger Root- 15
1 oz Hallertauer – 5 Min
.10 oz Cinnamon Stick (one) – 5 min
1 oz Sweet Orange Peel – 5 min
British Ale Yeast – Wyeast 1098
