This month we celebrated our success at the first two Florida Circuit Competitions, Hurricane Blow-Off and Hogtown Brew-Off. Many of you entered some great beers into these competitions and a lot of you even got a medal. So congratulations to everyone that submitted and entry and a huge shout out to those that also got e medal. We are not sitting comfortably at 2nd place in the state according to my unofficial tally of the scores.
Additionally Mark S. did a presentation on Yeast slanting. If you have ever wanted to propagate those dregs from your favorite Belgian beer from overseas now you can. You can spin up that bottle conditioned yeast sample up into a 5L starter for your own use and see if you can replicate your favorite beers at home with yeast not available on the market.
